Suicide Prevention Consortium
The Suicide Prevention Consortium is led by Samaritans, and aims to identify and prevent inequalities which lead to increased risk of suicide.
Working alongside Samaritans as part of the Consortium are us at Support After Suicide Partnership (SASP), the National Suicide Prevention Alliance (NSPA) and With You.
The Consortium was announced in 2021 by the Department of Health and Social Care, as a member of the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Health and Wellbeing Alliance for 2021-24.
The VCSE Health and Wellbeing Alliance is made up of 19 members from across the voluntary sector in England. It seeks to improve the health and wellbeing of communities through activities which inform national policy development and delivery, with a particular focus on identifying and reducing health inequalities.
