MPS voted on 25th January to approve approve the Bereavement Benefits (Remedial) Order 2022, which will extend these benefits to cohabiting couples with children and make retrospective payments to those previously denied the benefits since 30 August 2018. We expect the scheme to open in the coming weeks.
